Christmas at the grey house...

so apparently my mom thinks my house is blue. I had to correct her. It's grey, Autumn Fog to be exact! Colors differences aside, this is what my Christmas looked like...
It was a very low key Christmas. It was simple & we all got things we liked & didn't break the bank. Very pleasing. I am happy to say that I was proud of the gifts I made this year. Looking forward to the New Year, my week off, and my first house guests at the grey house.

wreath obsession.

I have a tiny bit of a wreath obsession & wish I could have them all...
The sweetest wreath.
For Autumn.
very inspired by this wreath by Rachel at Smile & Wave
Eddie Ross
Tonight I attempted to create an ornament ball wreath Eddie Ross style. It did not turn out like his. The icing on the cake, I dropped it and balls went everywhere. I was really mad I didn't settle on a candle for the work christmas party. I thought I'd make a sweet wreath and dream of my coworkers fighting over it. It's still salvagable, but I'm disappointed.
For all seasons....The two below I found on Ohdeedoh
I'm into deep purple these days. decor 8

choo choo.

I'm on the Christmas train, finally. I started and almost completed all Christmas shopping today. It helps that I have a very small budget & only a handful of people to buy for. I was vey excited until today. Also, I bought myself a little present that I am very excited for....A FIREPIT. Yay! I've wanted some sort of firepit since we've moved in, but wasn't sure how to accomplish a balance of form & function cheaply. I found my treasure today, along with half of my presents at a local shabby chic/antique/repurposed store. The rest of my presents are either pics, homemade, or some sort of plant. My first idea was to only give plants for Christmas, but I strayed and I think some will be happy. Can't give away all of my secrets now, but I'm excited. I have a small list of things to complete including Christmas cards. They will be composed of Kraft paper cards with photos, that I 'fixed' in paint, zig-zag stitched to the front & corresponding Kraft envelopes. Today was a good day. I slept in, got in the Christmas spirit & played with my friends. I'm on board for Christmas. It's official.
PS. I cut my friends hair today. Scary, but pleasing.
