I've been a busy little bee. I've been working in the yard every afternoon that I can. I hung up window boxes. I went to Lowe's & Home Depot to find something to line these bad boys with. I was told by one guy that I could use peat moss and he sold me this whole big bag of it. He said I could just wet it and pack it in the windowboxes and I wouldn't need a liner. I was SOLD. Not knowing what was in that bag I came home and tried to create a work of art. NOT! The stuff in the big bag was pretty much like dirt. I was not happy & did not want to go back to the store and spend more money. The solution: I have been pulling up sod to plant different things and I hadn't really done anything with the big square hunks of grass. I had several pieces of dried pieces of sod laying in various places and thought I'd give it a shot. And TA-DA..I recycled & it was free. I'm not sure how this will hold up longterm, but for now it is looking like it was a good lightbulb moment. I'm excited for the boxes to lush up and fill in. Yay Spring.

Before.

After.
And now I wait...
crossing my fingers that the sod will green up.
Even if it doesn't, the plants will spill over and cover it after a while.
I'm excited to see how it blossoms.
