Tuesday Treasures.

Tuesday Treasures.
Kiddie Christmas Edition.
They're keeping track!
Be good for goodness sake!
1970's dollhouse.
This is such a sweet, simple dollhouse.
I almost want it for myself...
or a future little girl.
Take a look, it's a book, Reading Rainbow...........
Remember Reading Rainbow!?
There is nothing like that on TV for kids these days.
That horsie....
It's a rocking horse.
You sit inside of it,
almost like Santa's sleigh.
Raggedy Ann & Andy have the same haircut!
Love this illustration,
the pins in her mouth
& the braided red hair.
& this lady is on my wishlist.
It's a loveseat/upholstered bench.
Pretty wood.
Yellow & grey.
She was in good shape.
Cozy & beautiful.

umm...HELLO!

I haven't even officially wedding dress shopped. I've just started looking in the dress section of every store for any white dresses that catch my eye. While doing a usual tour of T J Maxx, I found a very potential wedding dress at the sweet price of only$19.99! It wasn't what I exactly had in mind, but I really like it. I snatched it up and brought it home. I'm keeping it with the receipt just in case, but that dress may be it. It's kinda crazy.

We have no plans so far, but I do have tiny ideas floating around in my head. My nonplan included the month of October & pumpkins, maybe ferns. I like the J.Crew Taryn dress & that was the extent of it.

I have had my eye on some pink flowers at Hobby Lobby. One day I made a big bouquet with them. I really liked it. Pink wasn't in my nonplan either.

.....& speaking of pink, I found these invitations. Holy Moly! Graph Paper! + Pink!(out of budget but I ♥ ♥ ♥ them!) I think I'm onto something. It might not involve pumpkins, but I'm going with it!

Crazy Great Idea!

Why did I not think of this!?
I got one pumpkin on Halloween day on sale

& Not Creature Was Stirring, Not Even a Mouse

The Ladybug

This was the most magical afternoon. I was sewing at the dining room table. The back door was open to sprinkles & crisp air. Everything was peaceful & right in the world. So very peaceful, I made it to all four animals & snapped a photo without the usual starting of a parade. My sweet babies. I love them. Autumn is magic. It puts magic in our hearts. Enjoy!

Tuesday Treasures.

This is the only photo I caught today. I was picking up some moth ball scented canvas shoes & accidentally knocked off two plates. They broke! I walked to the front with the pieces & a bright red face. The kind boy didn't make me pay for them. I left in embarrassment. Sorry folks.

Playing in the Sunshine

hehe.
I ♥ my Ray Bans!
Dream on.

dreaming.

While I'm taking some time off from the 9-5er. I've come up with a fun project to stimulate my Holiday fund. I haven't used my etsy shop in awhile, and I'm planning on striking it back up next week. Check back this week as I get everything up & running. I'm excited! Have a great week! I'm planning on it.

***photo is irrelevant to the project.

time off

The boy & I have both taken some time off from our jobs to burn up vacation time. On Thursday, we went down the road to Valley, AL and enjoyed Sunny's buffet. It's one of my new favorite places to eat. $7 for buffet & drink which mean $7 for endless Dr. Pepper and fried green tomatoes. The boy eats his weight in chicken. Whatever version he can get his hands on. After the buffet, we rode down to West Point Lake and I showed him how peaceful it was out there. We took a little walk down one of the trails and enjoyed the super lovely Alabama Autumn weather.

Good times had by all.

Hip Hip Hooray!!

Shouting from the rooftops! I have finished this sweet lady. I've been working on her on & off for what seems like forever. Now I'm ready to sell her and meet my goal. I've posted her on craigslist & I plan to make flyers to post at the local college. Wish me luck friends.

At This Very Moment...

I am super inspired by this post. It just really hit the spot.

How perfect is this!?
Makes me want to have a baby & decorate a dreamy room in clouds & hot air balloons.
Sounds Superb!
This piece is just a sweet.

I was unsure of what this piece actually was at first.
I assumed wall art.
Big cloudy 3-D wood piece..
I was wrong.
It's a pin & would be a cute alternative to a corsage.
Big or small I like the juxtaposition of wood & cloudy blue.

Love the colors, patterns, & textures.
Makes me think Morton salt girl with a flair.
Sweet.

I like the blanket & chair cushion the best.
This is actually selling the cloud pillow.
Love the colors.

Would love this on my couch.
Would love this as art.
Sweet & Simple.
"dream big little one"
Perfect.

I just really liked the images in this post by marathon1981.
They struck my fancy for sure.
Great pieces for a little person room.
Too bad my furry little ones don't get their own rooms
for me to decorate!
Dream on.

Tuesday Treasures.

I'm just going to skip to the highlights of my hunting...

'PERFECTION URINE SPECIMEN BOTTLE'

This sweet bottle just so happened to be sitting next to this animal skullie. No this was not a Halloween joke. This was 2 legit items marked for sell at an antique mall.
For a grand total of $6.50 they're all yours!

& many moons ago at this same store, my friend found these dentures. I almost want to say it was in the same booth that housed the above treasures.

Keep your eyes open folks! Never know what's around the corner at the antique store!

Have a great week! Humpday shall conclude my 9-5 week & I'm counting down the hours. Thanks to my 9-5 I will dress up tomorrow night (going for a Farrah Fawcett highwaisted jeans plaid shirt flippy hair look....the theme is RETRO!), eat good food, and hopefully win a prize!

more treasures as always...here.

ten ten.

October 2010 was a pretty good month in my book. It was not what I had planned nor expected, but fall is magic as far as I'm concerned. The BF popped the question. I won a prize for my Halloween costume. I got a bike & fell in love. I made it to Syrup Soppin. I hung some more decor on my walls. We committed to a fire pit in the back yard. Spent Halloween roasting hot dogs & marshmallows. I discovered West Point Lake & embarked on a new journey at the 9-5. SWEET life. Ten ten was a TEN!

Our Halloween.

We kept Halloween simple and sweet. We built a fire and I bought a pumpkin for half price! I love fires & have wanted to commit to a fire in our back yard for oh, say....since before we had a house. Haha. I wanted one, but was intimidated by burning a big circle in our grass. My rationale on this subject is if we need to sell, I'll plant a little flower bed at the site & call it a day. We've made two fires this week already, and I look forward to more as the cold sets in. I've been coming home from work this week craving to build a fire. Halloween set the tone for the seasons to come. Hope everyone enjoyed their Halloween, big or small!

Syrup Soppin

Syrup Soppin!
What's that you ask!?
An annual festival that is the life of a small community in Alabama.
It was held this past Saturday.
I asked off for this event in July.
I was ready.

My date was my camera.
He was a gentleman.

**I used Picnik 1960's effect on these.
I highly recommend if you're not looking to empty your pockets.
